WASHINGTON POST CONTINUES SMEAR CAMPAIGN AGAINST MAYOR GRAY WHILE CITY CONTINUES TO MOVE FORWARD

The trash is being picked-up, homicides are down, economic development is booming, public schools are being reformed and Gray is trying to create jobs for the jobless so what’s the problem with the Washington Post?  Well they lost the Mayor’s race with their last year endorsement of Fenty and they can’t get over it – so they have decided to link Gray with every opportunity to smear his reputation with gossip or rumor’s they can print.  the Washington Post’s smear campaign against Mayor Gray has caused racial divide in this city while Gray continues to serve all aspects of the city to make it One-City.

ADVISORY NEIGHBORHOOD COMMISSIONER OUT OF TOUCH WITH 5TH & R NW STOP SIGN ISSUE

ANC 2c-02 Commissioner Kevin Chapple errored in making a motion at the ANC June monthly meeting for DDOT to place a stop sign at the intersection of 5th & R NW.  The motion was seconded by Alex Padro and it passed 4-0.  The point is that Chapple, Padro and the other commissioners are clearly out of touch with the residents living near 5th & R NW.  At the request of the East Central Civic Association President Mahdi Leroy Thorpe, residents Mark Shammel and Ben Williams – DDOT placed new Stops signs up at 5th & R NW month’s ago. The ECCA would suggest that the ANC pass a motion and follow-up with DDOT to place a yellow traffic light at the 5th & R NW intersection in efforts to reduce the multiple traffic incidents occurring at that intersection.
