Man Stabbed To Death Tonight In Front of Laundromat In Shaw: Shaw Activist Mahdi Leroy J. Thorpe, Jr Comments

A 19 year-old Black male was stabbed tonight in front of the Laundromat in the 1500 Block of 7th Street, NW in the Shaw community – the man ran, collapsed, and died inside the Kennedy Recreation Center.  “Well this is the type of ineffective leadership from our ANC Commissioner Kevin Chapple and the wasted vote cast on this lazy character from the voters in his ANC 2C-02 district which soon will be ANC 6C-02 in January 2013 after the upcoming elections in November of this year.  When I was the ANC Commissioner I labored hard in the community for all citizens which resulted in me having a safe ANC district on the commission.  This is what the voters wanted and this is what they get for electing and re-electing Kevin Chapple.  The criminals in Shaw know better than to come on my block with this type of criminal conduct – I sit back and say to myself  “these folks thought they were punishing me and now look at how this community has gone to the pigs,” said Thorpe.

Woman Sexually Assaulted And Robbed At Gun Point Last Night In Shaw: Shaw Activist Mahdi Leroy Thorpe Crime Analysis

A woman was sexually assaulted last night at gun point while walking in the 400 Block of Q Street, NW in the Shaw community.  Shaw activist Mahdi Leroy Thorpe said “Our Red Hats volunteer patrol group was out last night with the Third District Police prior to the woman being sexually assaulted and robbed at gun point in the 400 Block of Q Street.  The Red Hats welcomes all Shaw residents to patrol with us in Patrol Service Area (PSA) 308 district along with the Third District Police twice a week in the late evenings.  Residents should avoid ear plugs and be very alert while walking at night and a woman should not being walking alone late at night in this crime ridden community.  The police patrols this recent crime incident area on a regular basis and neighbors living in this area need to speak and respect all their neighbors to avoid social barriers if  their is to be a drug free, safe and clean community.”

The Decline Of Black DC Elected Officials: A Psycho-Social Analysis

Black DC elected officials are on the decline and rapidly becoming rare why:  Black elected officials fail to take on younger generations aspiring to be politicians based out of fear fear that one day they will run against them and they no longer will be politically relevant.   Marion Barry is a typical example during his political heyday – he surrounded himself with women because he feared an alpha male in his camp would rise to cut his political power.

Many Black DC voters believe that Black DC politicians lack the  “manhood” to stand up against the power structure and represent their issues in the city due to White political contributions.   The perception by Black voters that Black politicians have  no”balls” in the eye’s of Black voters,  the end result is apathy at the voting polls – former DC Mayor Adrian Fenty is a prime example

White DC voters are scared to death of an independent thinking strong Black man; particularly if he has facial hair (DC Mayor Vincent Gray).  If they can;t control him they result to smear campaigns on the internet, weekly newspapers, re-call efforts and bad press in the Washington Post.

Ward 2 Councilman Jack Evans: White Power From A Black Politcal Perspective

Jack Evans skin pigmentation is white and I mean Nordic white – even too white to those white DC citizens.  When Jack ran for Mayor in the 1990′s many whites in DC felt guilty to support a white candidate for Mayor in a predominantly black city at that time.  Times have changed, gentrification in many large cities nationwide are seeing whites move into historic black neighborhoods such as Shaw and Harlem.  White people are tired of the long time consuming commutes from the suburbs and find it economically beneficial to move back into the cities where they work and are seeking high paying jobs.   What doe’s this mean for Jack Evans?  It means that since the black population in DC is shrinking  and white voting power is increasing – whites no longer fell liberal or guilty to vote for whites in higher political positions such as the DC City Council Chair, DC Mayor and even the US House  of Delegate position to the US Congress.

Jack Evans is in a position to be the most powerful white or in fact most powerful politician in DC shortly with the ongoing influx of gentrification -so be ware you minute ragtag group of Jack Evans haters in Shaw who got kicked out of ward 2 and re-redistricted into Tommy Wells  Ward 6.

ANC 2-C Chair Alexander M. Padro Approves Paying Non-Elected Citizen To Perform ANC Elected Duties: Is ANC 2-C Throwing Away Tax Payers Money?

Shaw’s ANC 2-C Chairman Alexander M. Padro allegedly has lead the way to hire a non-elected citizen to perform the elected secretary duties for ANC 2-C and pay her via DC Government public tax dollars – Is this a waste of tax payers money since the the elected ANC 2-C Commission is to elect one of their own to perform secretarial duties on the commission without pay?

A group of Shaw residents are looking into the allegations related to Padro pocketing money via his position as an elected ANC Commissioner in Shaw via steering development money and public funds into the Shaw Main Streets program while voting as an elected official on these Shaw development projects.  Padro receives thousand of dollars  as it’s paid executive director of Shaw Main Streets.  He is alleged to have placed a developer employee on the Shaw Main Street Board that is allegedly donating funds to his organization after he had voted  on the ANC Commission to approve development projects in Shaw.

Burglaries Up in ANC 2C-02: Mahdi Leroy Thorpe Comments On Safety Tips For Residents

Sgt. Tyrone Harris from the Third District Police PSA – Patrol Service Area 308 attended the ECCA monthly meeting last night at Third Baptist Church in Shaw.  Sgt.  Harris informed the ECCA that a home in tghe 1700 lock of New Jersey Ave was burglarized last week and another burglary took place in the 600 Block of R Street.

ECCA President Mahdi Leroy Thorpe ” There have been a lot of car break-ins in the 400 Block of R Street and the 1600 Block of 5th Street.  Residents can do a lot to protect their cars from being broken into if they remove their GPS system, laptop computers and other valuables from the sight of thieves when they look into their cars.  It’s basic common sense in an urban environment.  Also don’t leave homes doors and windows unlocked and valuable goods in sight when you leave your home. It wold be wise to invest in a alarm system if you can afford it,”

Second Northwest Black Residents Accuses Ward 6 Councilman Tommy Wells And His Chief Of Staff Charles Allen Of Racism

Ward 6 Councilman Tommy Wells and his Chief of Staff Charles Allen was recently accused as  alleged racist’s by residents of the Second Northwest a residential complex located between the boundaries of O & N and New Jersey Ave and 5th Street in the Shaw neighborhood.

The residents accuses Wells and his Chief of Staff Charles Allen of racism by not appointing any Blacks in Shaw to the Ward 6 Redistricting Task Force.  Well’s and his chief of staff allegedly appointed one white male and one white female to serve on the Ward 6 redistricting task force for the Advisory Neighborhood Commission new boundaries – The resident further complain that the maps on line are not readable and that they were never informed by Wells and his office of meetings.  They were outraged that Wells and his chief of staff gerrymandered their political power by diving the line at O Street NW instead of N Street, NW.

When residents complained to former ANC 2-c Chairman and current ECCA President Mahdi Leroy Thorpe he responded “You have to understand you can lead the horse to the water but you can’t make him drink it.  I told you guy’s that this would happen and as always you are reactionary instead of being proactive.  You have to understand Wells – he is a Alabama native that grew up with and around segregation where Black people in his state were marginalized and under valued.  Tommy views Black as servants and is not used to educated progressive Blacks just look at his staff.  He has Black females that are no threat to him just like during slavery.  I don’t think he has a strong Black male on his staff.  He feels comfortable around Commissioners Alex Padro and Kevin Chapple and a psych0 Black activist in Shaw that smiles at him, shakes their heads in agreement on most of what he say’s and the fact that these Blacks attack strong Black males or females and are not comfortable being Black themselves and they suffer from cultural conditioning.  That’s what Tommy saw when he was growing up.  You will have to organize and elect someone that represents your interest and that can bring people together when Tommy is up for re-election.  The ANC had a role in this as well Padro and Chapple did not wantto include Second Northwest into Chapple boundaries because they feared that if I ran for the ANC office it would take away votes from Chapple and Alex would not have Chapple as his puppet if I had won and his Padro’s chairmanship would be threatened.  I understand these types of Blacks they are lost culturally and and of no substance spiritually – they are the reason why some whites in this country continue to marginalize and under value Blacks.  They know that the Padro’s and Chapple’s hate being Black and will attack strong Blacks at beckoning call via the Willie Lynch Divide and Conquer Theory on Blacks – They are afraid of me because I am an independent thinker and that I know how weak they are are humans and so-called men.  Therefore, I expect the worse from them and those that buy into their type of  thinking.  If you take a few seconds to sit back and analyze their worth on the Commission what have they accomplished?  Padro uses the position to allegedly shake down businesses and developers for money since he has no job.  Chapple is so dumb he incorporated his ANC position and was investigated and sanction by DC Office of Campaign Finance in 2009.   Burglaries, car break-ins, robberies, over crowded street parking, jobs and public education are issues the ANC should be involved with – but the voters are brainwashed by these folks and they buy into the negative personal attacks by these alleged crooks – as a result you get no public service while you consume their cool-aid.”

Could Shaw ANC 2-C Chair Alexander M. Padro And His ANC 2-C Vice Chair Rachelle Nigro Be The Next Harry Thomas, Jr?

A dozen or so residents of ANC 2C-Commission have been meeting regularly for the past three weeks discussing allegations that Shaw ANC 2-C Chair Alexander M. Padro has been pocketing developer money for personal use and his Vice-Chair Rachelle Nigro for soliciting money from businesses to throw parties.  Padro has also placed a member of Roadside Development on his board of directors for the Shaw Main Streets while serving as a paid director – Padro has voted on the Roadside Development project at Market O and is seeking funding for Shaw Main Streets.   Shaw Main Streets get’s thousands of dollars from the DC Government  to assist local Shaw businesses some Shaw residents  are accusing Padro of voting on Shaw development projects and pocketing money from these developers for his personal use and some African-American businesses such as Variety Market never heard from Padro after submitting an application to assist with the facade of the store.  Metropolitan Development based out of Virginia paid Padro over $50,000.00 this past Summer to help out the community where did the money go?

Padro and his puppet ANC Commissioner Kevin Chapple has been investigated in the past via the DC Office of Campaign Finance & DC Board of Elections & Ethics .  Padro for voting on projects and allegedly accepting funds.  The Office of Campaign Finance threaten to issue Chapple a fine of thousands of dollars in 2009 if he did not shut-down his website ANC 2C-02 & You and his glossy newsletter ANC 2C-02 and You for charging individuals and businesses advertisement space.  Chapple a lawyer was dumb enough to incorporate his ANC 2C-02 elected position as a business via the website and newsletter for profit.

Rachelle Nigro settled out of court on allegations of stalking her neighbor at her Yale Laundry residents in 2010 and is allegedly has used her elected position as an ANC Commissioner to get local establishments to fund her parties.
