I would like to thank the ECCA with keeping the community informed, but helping me grow as a man. I love the communication with MPD every month; they inform us of area crime and give insight on prevention. You have the opportunity to speak one on one with guest such as city council members, Directors and representatives of various agencies such as D.D.O.T., D.P.W. and so on. ECCA is an organization that keeps the neighborhood close strong

I believe everyone in the community should come out to some of the ECCA meetings. The meetings keep me in the loop of what’s happening in the neighborhood and they also have important guests on the agenda to answer what questions you may have concerning the neighborhood.

As a Ward 6 resident who has witnessed Counclman Wells’ segregationist policies and practices, I can say without a doubt, if this man is elected, DC’s Blacks residents will be marginalized and treated as second class citizens.

Wells has created such a racial divide in Ward 6 ( Capital Hill area) one would think you were in the deep south. I’ve talked to so many long-time Ward 6 residents who are ready to do whatever it take to ensure Wells isn’t elected as Mayor.

I know several folks who have already started a PAC to help fund Wells’ opponent– Gray, Mendelson or Evans.

I have known Tommy Wells for a long time without socializing with him. He took credit for the late social worker Chaney Scott’s work at Child & Family Services Adminstration regarding challenging work conditions and high case loads at the agency. Tommy had met with former DYRS employees to hear their issues when he chaired the DC City Council Committee on DYRS and sold the employee’s out to DYRS Director Vinny Schiralidi by naming those employee’s to Schirladi that spoke up in the meeting – I was smart enough not to meet with wells during that meeting because I never trusted him.

I believe their would be violent racial riots if Wells were elected Mayor of DC. He has no respect or regards to the social, economic and educational lack of opportunities for Black people and have ignored their concerns regading his role as the Ward 6 Councilman.

I do believe Ward 2 Councilman Jack Evans would be the logical and best choice for Mayor if Vincent Gray decides not to seek a second term. Evans has earned the majority of Black voters suport in Shaw each time he has run for the Ward 2 City Council seat. Evans is no phony unlike Wells.
